Ringwood Town Market

I'm not sure what it is about Wednesdays, but they feel extra special. I think it's the fact that this is the day of the week where you have no plans but you get to go out and start your day with something awesome. Ringwood market, located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, is a weekly must do for your social calendar. Named as one of Australia's best markets by Good Food, Ringwood market does not disappoint.

If you’re like me, I love to support local businesses who care deeply about their brand/products as well as the local community. That's a big part of who I am as a person — so it's always cool when I get to experience that on a bigger scale. To. The Ringwood Town Market is located on Main Street in beautiful Ringwood. The market has been held since 1815 and is known for being lively, welcoming to all ages of people, and is a great place to stock up on fresh locally grown fruit, vegetables, flowers, vintage and woolen goods and produce (seasonal).

Lymington Market

My first memories of Lymington market are from way back when I was a nipper. I still remember going and buying an ‘adventure bag’ (more of a satchel really) from Hillmans shop – still there today. The town itself has changed a lot considering I was only a small boy but like many of the towns and villages across the estate it has traditional feel to it despite being in the middle of the New Forest.

Lymington and Herne Bay are two of my favorite places in the area, not just for their markets but the people. Before the second half of the 19th century, Lymington had no market. At that time, the town's population was around 1,500 people. There were five main shopping areas: "The Lymington Centre", "The Crescent" and "The Quay", in addition to two smaller ones called "The Bay" and "The Marina". The centre of Lymington is looking very different now.
